Publicity
Branching off from my passion for music journalism and music writing, I made the transition to music publicity during the summer of 2021.
This stint began with Brooklyn post-punk group Catcher, for whom I crafted publicity e-mail campaigns, organized contact lists, pitched song premieres and show reviews, and much more. After a few months into working on that project, I stumbled across the opportunity to work with the team at Tell All Your Friends PR & Marketing, where I held a Publicist position, alongside assisting CEO Kip Kouri with his campaigns for two and a half years. In this position, I kept track of client calendars, drafted PR campaigns in Mailchimp, conducted contact research/regularly updated the contact database, coordinated posts with music outlets, and much more.
As of February 2024, I am now part of the in-house publicity team at 4AD (part of Beggar's Group), where I manage projects for our clientele seeking in-house publicity. This includes archival releases spanning across the label's 40-year history.
In publicity, I have seen a new way to express my passion for music, and my goal of helping share artists' content and their stories with wider audiences, as was my goal with music journalism.
Below, I have listed a few samples from a variety of campaigns I've handled.
